On June 14th to 15th, French CTI came to evaluate and inspect Sino-French Engineer School for the accreditation evaluation of the school’s engineer qualification. CTI is the institution under French Ministry of Education specialized in engineer diploma accreditation. On June 14th, CTI panel specialists listened to the general work report from Chinese director Xiong Zhang and French director Zhang Duolei, and conducted discussions with related school faculty in terms of preparatory stage teaching, engineer stage teaching, French teaching, etc., for detailed understanding of the school’s teaching objectives, teaching plans, progress and related results. Later, the panel watched the engineer stage teaching demonstration, followed by lectures on French science and technological physics, and visited the school’s Basic Physics Education Experiment Center and the French library. On the morning of June 15th, the CTI panel and our graduate school Executive Deputy Director Professor Huang Haijun, Professor Chen Qiang held in-depth and thorough discussion on the integration of Sino-French higher education, graduation design innovation, etc. In the afternoon, President and Academician Huai Jinpeng cordially met with the CTI accreditation panel. President Huai extended his gratitude to the CTI panel for their hard work and valuable comments over the past two days, and was fully confident in the future of the education cooperation between the two governments, and Beihang University and Groupe des Écoles Centrales. The penal members considered the assessment to be very fruitful, and expressed that the Sino-French Engineer School, as an example of Sino-French education cooperation, plays a significant role in promoting and demonstrating China’s engineer education, They also believed that the achievements the school obtained over the past five years were inseparable with the support of the government and Beihang University, and extended sincere hope that the school had a prosperous future. The CTI accreditation panel included CTI committee members Professor Philippe Masse, international affair expert Professor René-Paul MARTIN-DENAVIT, the representative of the engineer industry and the head of the Beijing research institute of Schlumberger Mr. Cao Shu, Deputy Director Professor Wu Aihua, Professor Zhong Yixin and Professor Chen Guanlong appointed by Ministry of Education for guidance, and local teacher representative Professor Lu Lipeng.
