On Sep. 6th, 2015, we welcomed 117 undergraduates to Sino-French Engineer School. School leaders,teachers and the Student Union warmly received these students and parents. The welcoming activity was set in Da Yun Cun,each work was orderly carried out, including registering, issuing student information and student cards, selling beddings, distributing Military training stuffs and school clothes. These new students felt the warmth and kindness of teachers and students of Sino-French Engineer School. The parent meeting was held on Sep.7th, school leaders and teachers introduced the school information and asked questions from the parents.
On the evening of Sep.13th, the opening ceremony of Sino-French Engineer School, Class 2015 was held in Shahe Campus as expected. Leaders and teachers attending the ceremony included Chinese President Hong Guanxin, French President Fleury, teacher representative Zhang Wei, Counsellor Li Qiquan and all the new students. The ceremony was hosted by Tian Yuan, Vice secretary of Sub-Party committee. First of all, Mr. Fleury gave a French speech and Zhang Wei did the interpretation. He gave a vivid introduction of the history and training system of French general engineer, he also used many detailed data and pictures to introduce renowned schoolfellows of EcolesCentrales. Then Chinese President Hong Guanxin gave a speech on the training orientation and training plan with kindness. She also talked about the bright future of school graduates and encouraged all the new students to study hard and obtain an international vision and finally to become a real general engineer. Later on, Tan yu gave a speech on behalf of all the new students. She expressed her gratitude to BUAA and Sino-French Engineer School and expressed her expectation of new college life. Lin Xiaoyu delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the senor students. She sent a blessing for the freshmen. After the opening ceremony, Chinese and French President had a warm communication with the students. On the occasion of the Military training, school leaders and teachers brought fruits and French textbooks to the students and sent their best wishes for them.
