On the morning of December 9, 2023, École Centrale de Pékin of Beihang University successfully held the 16th Open day for Enterprises in the conference room of Ruxin Conference Center on College Road campus. The event attracted 24 well-known Chinese and foreign companies, and many company representatives participated and presented the basic business situation to students, and shared with them the latest news on business and career guidance.
Zhang Jiang, secretary of the institution's Party Committee, Luo Hongbin, Chinese director, Frédéric GENTY, French director, and other teachers had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the partner companies on several areas, including the burning issues of scientific and technological innovation, industrial development and the cultivation of talent in various industries. Students also had the chance to talk face-to-face with company representatives to gain a better understanding of the current internship and employment situation.
Companies such as Safran, AVIC International and China National Aviation Technology (AVTech), which have been taking part in this Open day for many years, said that their participation in the event had been of great benefit to them. One of the representatives from Beijing South Snecma TurboTech (BSS-TurboTech) said that the quality of Centrale Pékin students, their ability to solve work-related problems and their command of languages had always been impressive, and that the high level of organisation of the event provided companies with a high-quality platform from which to gain in-depth knowledge of the college and its students. Representatives from AI Waves, a company founded by former Centrale Pékin graduates, also showed their warm welcome to all students.
The event not only attracted many students from Centrale Pékin, but also students from other institutions, all of whom were very concerned about issues relating to future internships and jobs. The atmosphere at the event was friendly, and everyone was able to communicate face-to-face with company representatives and higher education institution leaders to understand the latest company information and advice on internships and employment, in order to reserve relevant knowledge in advance and set the direction for future development more quickly.
